Commissions
We take on four houses a year
And one public building. That is not modesty, it is arithmetic: a house takes Ingrid about 340 hours of drawing and roughly eleven days on site, and there are twelve of us.
What we need from you
The address, a survey if you have one, and an honest budget. We will come and look at the site before we quote, and that visit is free wherever the site is in Norway.
What it costs
Houses are usually 11–14 % of the build cost, in five stages, with a fixed fee for the first two so you can stop after them. Public work is by public procurement.
Open call · junior architect
One position, from January 2026, for someone one to three years out of school. You would work on houses with Sunniva Aas and on the Røros guesthouse, and you would spend real days on site — we budget for that, and we pay for the train.
Send four drawings, not renderings, and half a page about a building you have visited twice, to post@halvorsenatelier.no. We read everything and we reply to everyone, though it takes us about three weeks.
