Nine houses at Melides, lifted a metre and a half above the sand so the dune can go on moving underneath them.
Melides is a smaller, wilder beach than Comporta, and the dune here is still alive: it moves two or three metres a decade. Rather than fight it we asked Studio Lindqvist for houses on posts, one room deep, with the services in a single spine so that a house could, in theory, be lifted and moved. None of them will be. But the plan is honest about the ground it is on.
One road in from the CM 1080, a turning head, and a boardwalk that runs behind the primary dune to the beach. No house sits on the dune itself. Plots are shown at their consented footprint; all nine come to the market together in January 2027.
Both houses are one room deep, so every room has the water on one side and the grass on the other. The kitchen is on the deck, under the thatch, open on three sides — which is where you will eat between May and October whatever anyone intended.
Fourteen metres by twelve, raised a metre and a half on maritime pine posts. Three bedrooms, one long room, and a deck that runs the full width and turns the corner to catch the north light in the afternoon.

Anna Lindqvist builds in the Stockholm archipelago, where houses also stand on rock and post and are also empty for eight months of the year. She came to Melides for a week in 2023 and drew the section on the second morning: a deck, a room, a roof, and nothing under the floor but grass.
Her houses are simpler than the Comporta ones and about a third cheaper to build. The thatch is the same reed and the same thatchers; the frame is glue-laminated pine rather than concrete, which is why the whole site can be built between two summers.
Nothing is for sale yet. All nine houses come to the market in January 2027, at the prices shown, and we take the list in the order it was written. Six households are on it already.
